Weary but with more patience

The remodel continues.  The doors are finished and look very nice.  The shower is finished and is just beautiful.  Only the flooring remains.  We were delayed partly because I couldn't decide what I wanted, and then when I decided, the item I chose had a long lead time.  So I finally decided on a different option.  It has been ordered and will be in Salt Lake next Tuesday (I'm told) and will be installed next week.  If all goes as planned, which it never does.  But after that, there's a little paint touch up to be done and then they are finished.  At least I do have some peace and quiet in my house while waiting for the flooring to arrive.  This has helped me to renew my calm and patience.  I'm still pretty much living in the basement, but I've gotten used to that, and I'm so glad it is such a cozy and homey place to pass the time.

Temperatures in Salt Lake will be near 50 all week long, with lots of rain in the valleys and snow in the mountains.  This is just how I like my winters.  The birds are singing in the yard and I begin to have hope for spring.

Oh no. Don't get your hopes up for spring because we have a big snowstorm coming in May.

But I am appreciating the current weather. Lots of birds in the backyard.

So true, Lauren. This is Utah and there will be more snow. Birds are loving the warm weather here too.

We were without power for two days and the snowdrifts are impassable on some rural road even to the big plows.... Wear here too. But patience is exhausted.....:)

Oh, TB, TWO days without power? Jeez, enough, right?! Here in Utah, much of our February has been warmer than normal and now I have some perennials coming up in the yard. We always worry about water shortages here, but we've been getting a lot of storms with rain in the valleys but some good snow in the mountains, so I'm crossing my fingers. Hang in there, TB. Your state has had a bad winter this year.

I hope you have found spring now. The birds are showing up and the geese are fighting indicating spring is now here. I love your header.

Hey, Bill, nice to see you. I checked your blog and see spring is arriving there, too. I have so many things sending up new shoots, I'm just itching to get out in the yard. But too soon for planting really. I'm planning a drive to northern Utah this weekend hoping to see both Tundra Swans and Snow Geese, and whatever else I can find.
