Weary of Remodeling

It's been a week of chaos in my house with the entire upstairs torn up just to do doors and baseboards.  We haven't even gotten to the floors yet.  Poor Frankie and I are cowering in the basement.  I'm glad this is my last inside project.  I no longer have the patience to have a driveway full of trucks and a houseful of men having their way with my property and crowding me out.  *sigh*  I know I'll love it when it's done.  But I have to whine a bit while in the middle of the mess.

No fun indeed. I hope the end result is satisfying. For us this year started better with a relaxing vacation overcoming some frustration and anger accompanying Mayo diagnosis. On the totally positive side no septic line freeze up like last winter that last three months. Thank god.....:)

Ah, TB, I have wondered about the Mayo diagnosis and how you were both coping. I imagine there will be tough times and more frustrations ahead, and I sure do with you all the best in that regards.

Well, we're not finished yet with the remodel. Things got kind of delayed, partly my fault as I couldn't decide on flooring. And then when I did decide, the lead time was so long, I ended up choosing yet another floor. The flooring will finally be in next week and they hope to install it as soon as it gets in. After that, it's just a matter of a little touch up paint here and there and it's finished. I've regained my patience and am making the best of the situation anyway. In any case, I should have my house back by the end of this month.
